For this title, I was the audio manager - performing the role of Audio Director and Audio Producer. I was also senior sound designer on this title. In addition to being audio manager for this game I wrote music for many levels and created many of the games most iconic sounds.
All the pick ups, bricks and special sounds you hear when picking up an extra life: weeks, probably months went into creating all that. It was pretty amazing.
This was one of the biggest audio game projects I have ever worked on. From top to bottom it was an incredible experience and lasted for around 3 years,
We needed so much content that I even ploughed through some of my personal music archive, there are tracks in cities and forests that I had released as singles during my early days in the music industry.
My favourite piece I wrote (that got a lot of good press) is probably the Mine Level music. Simon Withenshaw wrote the bulk of the music of the game and did an amazing job throughout.
